X-ray-guided interventions in children

The leaflet and poster explain what are X-ray-guided interventions, describe their meaning, the risks and benefits of X-ray-guided interventions in children, and indicate examples of questions that parents or caregivers can ask the referring physician or personnel of a diagnostic imaging department to obtain important information about their child’s X-ray-guided intervention.

This leaflet and poster, as well as other more specific leaflets and posters on different types of X-ray imaging exams, have been developed as a complementary tool to the WHO report “Communicating Radiation Risks in Paediatric Imaging” (Polish version), where you can find more detailed information.

The originals entitled “X-ray-guided interventions in children. What do we need to know?” were published by WHO, translated by the National Centre for Radiation Protection in Health Care.
