This year’s 13th edition of the National Conference “Ionising Radiation in Medicine” PJOMED 2022, organised by the National Centre for Radiation Protection in Health Care, will be held on June 6-7, 2022 as a hybrid event: at the European Institute in Łódź and online on the web platform.

This year’s PJOMED 2022 Conference will cover the following topics:

  • Ethics in medical exposure;
  • Clinical audits;
  • Unintentional and accidental exposure;
  • Patient-specific dosimetry in nuclear medicine;
  • Screening – mammography;
  • Risk to Poland’s population posed by medical exposure;
  • Quality control of radiology equipment;
  • Assumptions of IAEA POL9027 project: “Culture of Safe Use of Ionising Radiation and Improvement of QA/QC System in Positron Emission Tomography in Poland”.

CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS:

The conference is intended for:

  • persons performing and supervising medical radiology procedures (physicians, medical physicists, medical engineers, electro-radiology technicians, nurses);
  • radiation protection inspectors;
  • employees of the State Sanitary Inspection;
  • laboratory personnel performing quality control tests of medical radiology equipment;
  • persons responsible for management in healthcare facilities;
  • everyone who is interested in issues relating to the medical use of ionising radiation in medicine.

Conference participants will receive credits in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Health of 6 October 2004 on the ways of fulfilling the obligation of professional development of physicians and dentists
(consolidated text, Dz.U. of 2017, item 1923).

Conference participants will be able to receive 5 credits in connection with the requirement to improve their qualifications in the field of patient radiation protection in accordance with Article 33n (4)(3) of the Act – Atomic Law
(consolidated text, Dz. U. of 2021, item 1941).

Applicants will be notified by electronic mail (e-mail) whether their proposals have been qualified for inclusion in the Conference agenda.

REGISTRATION AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:

  • The National Centre for Radiation Protection in Health Care is the organiser of the 13th National Conference “Ionising Radiation in Medicine” PJOMED 2022, which will be held on 6-7 June 2022, in hybrid format: on-site, at the Didactic and Conference Centre of the European Institute in Lodz, 258/260 Piotrkowska Street, and online (via the ClickMeeting platform) – https://www.kcor.gov.pl
  • Registration shall be made using electronic means only, by filling in the registration form (link available at the bottom of the page).
  • Registration fee is 400,00 PLN per person.
  • The registration fee can be paid using a traditional method (bank transfer) or electronically (payment via PayU).
  • Students are entitled to a 50% discount on the registration fee. Discounted fee (200,00 PLN) can be paid only by traditional method (bank transfer). For more information, please contact us at: pjomed2022@nullkcor.gov.pl .
  • The registration deadline falls on 3 June 2022 (Friday) at 12 p.m.
  • Cancellation of participation in the PJOMED 2022 Conference can only be made in writing. The cancellation can be sent by post or by e-mail to the following address: pjomed2022@nullkcor.gov.pl. The cancellation notice must contain the cancelling person’s details and bank account number for the refund of the registration fee.
    IMPORTANT: In the case of receiving information about cancellation of participation in the Conference after 12:00 p.m. on June 3, 2022 (Friday) the registration fee is not refundable.

    IMPORTANT: To complete Conference Registration Process (after the registration form has been filled in) in each case you need to press “Buy ticket”/”Pay” button. This is also required when the payment for participation in the Conference will be made using methods of payment other than PayU, e.g. by traditional bank transfer.

Payment:

  • PayU payment:
    After filling in the registration form, press the “Buy ticket”/”Pay” button and follow instructions – a window to select available electronic payment methods will unfold (PayU does not charge any commission from the payers).
  • Payment by other means, e.g. traditional bank transfer:
    A traditional bank transfer can be made at a later time: after filling in the registration form you need to press “Buy Ticket”/”Pay” button and then the web page of the form closes without further payment procedure. Data filled in the form will be automatically saved in the system supporting the Conference. After making the payment to the following bank account number: 54 1010 1371 0015 1522 3100 0000 by 31 May 2022 at the latest, the participant’s account will be activated and the participant will be notified of this fact by e-mail via the address provided during registration. Please provide the first and last name(s) of the person(s) to whom the payment relates and the note: ” PJOMED 2021 Registration Fee” in the title of the transfer.
