From December 8th to 12th, 2025, the conference “Radiation Protection in Medicine: X-Ray Vision” was held at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, with the participation of the National Centre for Radiation Protection in Health Care representatives: Director Dariusz Kluszczyński, Deputy Director Adam Grabowski, and Karolina Kacprzak, Specialist in the Dosimetry Department.
During the conference, many topics related to radiation protection in medicine were discussed, including the justification for the use of radiation in clinical practice; radiation protection of patients and staff in various diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, as well as interventional procedures; and strengthening a culture of radiation safety in healthcare, with particular emphasis on actions taken in accordance with the Bonn Call for Action.
The National Centre participated in a poster session held during the event. Director Kluszczyński presented a poster entitled “Distribution of gender and age in interventional radiology in Poland, 2019 – 2023”.
