Workshop “Radiation protection in fluoroscopy guided imaging procedures” and closure of the IAEA TC POL9028 project, November 3-6, 2025

Events under the common title “Radiation protection in fluoroscopy guided imaging procedures” are organized as part of the POL9028 project entitled Prevention of tissue reactions in interventional procedures”, implemented as part of technical cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (TC IAEA). Topics include patient dose management and exposure monitoring during fluoroscopy guided procedures, tissue reactions in interventional procedures (appearance, management), as well as ethics and radiation risk communication in interventional radiology. On the last day, November 6, the official closing of the IAEA TC POL9028 project will also take place.

The workshops are addressed to all specialists interested in improving the radiation protection of patients and personnel by promoting good medical practices and improving radiological treatment procedures. The issues discussed will be presented by experts from Poland and abroad (IAEA). In addition to expert presentations, the meeting will also provide an opportunity for discussion and exchange of experiences between participants.

Participation:

Only people who register for the event will receive a certificate of participation. For participating in each workshop (declaration of participation in the registration form), participants are entitled to 5 training points in accordance to art. 33n, paragraph 4, point 3 of the Atomic Energy Law (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1277) in connection with the obligation to improve qualifications in the field of patient radiation protection. Additionally, event participants may earn educational or training points as part of their professional development obligations or continuing professional development as specified in separate regulations.

Participation in the workshops is open to the public and free of charge.
